Competition details

To be in the running to win first prize of school excursion for your class and a return family pass for your family entrants  must:

  1. Download and print the ‘seek and find’ illustration 
  2. Find and circle the 10 hidden elements within the scene
  3. Send your completed entry including your name and details to:

10 runner up winners will receive a family pass (2 adults + 2 children, 4 - 14 years).  
All entries must be received by 12 midday on Friday 29 July to go in the draw. Entrants must reside at an address between (Port Douglas and Cardwell, including Atherton Tablelands).


Competition Terms and Conditions

Entering the competition: Kuranda Scenic Railway 'seek and find' competition.

The promoter is Queensland Rail Limited (ABN 71 132 181 090) of Level 13, Rail Centre 1, 305 Edward Street, Brisbane, Queensland 4000 (the Promoter).

Entry to this competition signifies acceptance of the terms and conditions below.

The competition commences on Monday 11 July and closes on Friday 29 July 2022 at 12 midday. The competition will be drawn on 29 July 2022 between 12pm-5pm.

To enter this competition, the entrant  must download and print the relevant Kuranda Scenic Railway ‘seek and find’ competition illustration. The entrant must find and circle the correct 10 hidden elements within the scene. 

Employees of, or contractors to, the Promoter and any of its associated entities, or members of the immediate family of such employee or contractor, including spouse, parent, adopted or natural child or sibling (whether or not they live in the same household as the employee or contractor) are not eligible to enter.

The Promoter will only accept entries made personally by individuals.  The Promoter will only accept one (1) entry per Entrant.

The winning prize includes a school excursion for one school class and a return family pass. 10 runner up winners will receive a return family pass. Available for local residents only (Port Douglas to Cardwell, including Atherton Tablelands). Travel valid until 31 December 2022 in Heritage Class only.

Maximum prize value of first prize is up to $500 for the class excursion (depending on class size), plus $190 for the return family pass. Runner up prize value is $190 for the return family pass. Winners will be announced by Queensland Rail Travel via phone, email and Facebook and Instagram on Wednesday 3 August.

In the event of an entrant failing to provide their contact details, the Promoter reserves the right to allocate such prize to the next complying entry. If the winner cannot be contacted, Queensland Rail will keep their details on file for 3 months until contacted or withdrawn.

The Promoter's decision in the selection of the winners and the allocation of the prizes will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.

The prize must be taken as offered. The prize is not transferable to another person, exchangeable or redeemable for cash or for resale.

Entrants: 

    • acknowledge that their personal information shall only be collected for the purpose of this competition and any associated use
    • acknowledge the Promoter reserves the right to share images supplied of artwork entries on its Facebook and Instagram pages
    • release from, and indemnify the Promoter against, all liability, loss, cost or claim arising from your participation in this competition including the Promoter's sponsors, suppliers and contractors, including but not limited to injury and damage to person or property regardless of circumstance;
    • release Facebook from all actions or claims arising out of their participation in this competition; and
    • acknowledge that this competition is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Facebook.

The Promoter

    • reserves the right to amend the terms and conditions of this competition at any time at its sole discretion;
    • may withdraw or cancel this competition at any stage;
    • may disqualify any entry from the competition without notice and for any reason; and
    • will not be liable to any entrant should the 'seek and find' competition be cancelled or postponed, for whatever reason.
