Before you depart, download and install the app onto your phone or device. The app will download in English with the option to then download German, Japanese or Mandarin from the Main Menu.
Plug in your headphones to listen to the audio commentary by selecting Commentary and the departure station (Cairns, Freshwater or Kuranda) and choose from the numbered landmarks while the train is in motion for more information. Select the ‘play’ button to hear more about a point of interest, with a written version of the commentary also on screen. You can also keep track of your journey from the Map.
