Kuranda Scenic Railway - Reduction of Service Notification
Due to the decrease in demand for Kuranda touring on days when Skyrail is closed for maintenance, Kuranda Scenic Railway will reduce its scheduled services for the corresponding dates in 2009. Kuranda Scenic Railway will reduce services on the following dates in 2009:
February:Saturday 14th, Sunday 15th and Monday 16th April:Monday 27th May:Monday 11th, Tuesday 19th, Wednesday 20th and Thursday 21st June:Monday 1st, Tuesday 2nd and Wednesday 3rd August:Monday 31st September:Monday 14th
KSR will not be operating the following services:
• 09:30 ex Cairns • 09:50 ex Freshwater • 14:00 ex Kuranda
Scheduled services departing 08:30 ex Cairns, 08:50 ex Freshwater and 15:30 ex Kuranda will continue to operate. Normal twice daily scheduled services will continue on all other dates. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
Skyrail Maintenance Closures Notification
Skyrail Rainforest Cableway has confirmed programmed preventative maintenance works to occur in early and mid 2009. These works will require the cableway to be closed for short periods of time: dates are listed below for your reference. Skyrail Rainforest Cableway will be closed on the following dates in 2009:
February:Saturday 14th, Sunday 15th and Monday 16th April:Monday 27th May:Monday 11th, Tuesday 19th, Wednesday 20th and Thursday 21st June:Monday 1st, Tuesday 2nd and Wednesday 3rd August:Monday 31st September:Monday 14th
Please note that both Kuranda Scenic Railway and Skyrail’s Reservations Departments will continue to operate as normal during all of these times.
