KSR Gold Class is now available on all Kuranda Scenic Railway services. The new class delivers a special rail journey for discerning travellers who desire a more luxurious, personalised touring experience. It offers individual club-style seating and historical décor featuring Queensland Red Cedar timber and brass fittings.

Travellers can enjoy sparkling wine or a cold beer and savour finger foods as they take in the breathtaking natural wonders of Barron Gorge National Park.

North Queensland Manager Gary Young said, “KSR Gold Class is the most significant change to the famous Kuranda Scenic Railway service in recent times. It brings a whole new dimension to the Kuranda day tour, providing luxury travel as never before experienced. The successful launch of our first single KSR Gold Class carriage has lead to the second now being in service, with four more due to be online by the middle of next year."

With the first carriage proving a popular alternative the demand for a second carriage was clear and leaves customers very pleased with the option of KSR Gold Class on all services.

“The introduction of this service has shown that travellers are prepared to pay a little extra for a premium experience when expectations are surpassed.” said Mr Young.
