1. Where is Freshwater Station and how do we get there?

The Freshwater Railway Station is located on Kamerunga Road, Freshwater. If you are travelling from the Northern Beaches or Port Douglas take the Freshwater exit off the Captain Cook Highway.


2. Where is the Cairns Railway Station?

The Cairns Railway Station is located on Bunda Street, Cairns. If you are walking from Cairns city the Station is accessible via Cairns Central Shopping Centre.


3. What times do the trains leave?

Trains depart from Cairns Station at 8.30am and 9.30am daily and from Freshwater Station at 8.50am and 9.50am daily. These trains arrive at Kuranda Station at 10.15am and 11.15am respectively. Trains depart from Kuranda Station at 2pm and 3.30pm daily. These trains arrive at Freshwater Station at 3.20pm and 4.50pm and Cairns Station at 3.45pm and 5.15pm respectively. The journey takes approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes.


4. What is the cost of the Kuranda Scenic Railway?

The Fares for a one way journey on Kuranda Scenic Railway are as follows; Adult: $45 Child: $23 Family: $113. The Fares for a return journey on Kuranda Scenic Railway are as follows; Adult: $68 Child: $34 Family: $170 Child: Ages 4-14 years, Family: 2 Adults & 2 Children.


5. Can I book the Train and the Skyrail ticket all with you?

Yes, we can book all your Day Tour Options conveniently at the one office.


6. Do you take pension concession?

Yes, Pensioner discounts are available to Australian residents only.


7. How many services are there a day?

We have four train services a day. Two departing for Kuranda in the morning and two departing for Freshwater and Cairns in the afternoon. Trains depart from Cairns Station at 8.30am and 9.30am daily and from Freshwater Station at 8.50am and 9.50am daily. These trains arrive at Kuranda Station at 10.15am and 11.15am respectively. Trains depart from Kuranda Station at 2pm and 3.30pm daily. These trains arrive at Freshwater Station at 3.20pm and 4.50pm and Cairns Station at 3.45pm and 5.15pm respectively.
